How I visited Lake District
Just sharing a few photos from a recent trip to the Lake District. The little red Mini (not mine) actually made it without any issues - which was nice and hoped for, considering I had my doubts about BMW engine reliability and overall Mini quality.
The only thing I’d complain about is the size of the car. It's just is - small, that also goes to the fuel tank. From a red light (low fuel indicator) to a full tank, it takes just over 30 litres, which gives you about 400 miles, or a bit less. In comparison to my old rust bucket Golf, now 23 years old, powered by PD noise machine, could get me through a 900 mile trip on a single tank. But hey, Mini made it - and it’s the main subject of the photos - a star of a week.
In conclusion of few rainy days, couple moody days and couple sunny hot days - I can only recommend visiting the Lake District. There’s so much to see, walk, and climb - brilliant! And don't forget your drone!
